Last Friday, Metro Petroleum, a flagship company of the Dib Group, hosted its Annual Christmas Party for 2025 at the beautiful La Castelle venue in Bankstown. The evening brought together more than 600 guests including franchisees, team members, business partners, suppliers, and respected figures from the community and media — all to mark another year of remarkable achievements across the Dib Group.
The festive night was led by Dib Group founders John Dib and George Dib, whose vision and leadership continue to guide the group’s growth and culture. A hallmark of Dib Group’s annual celebration is its international dress theme this year, the team embraced the spirit of Vietnam with traditional attire that added vibrancy and colour to the event.
Among the esteemed guests were NSW Minister Jihad Dib, Father Assaad Lahoud from the St. Charbel Monastery, Bankstown Councillor George Zakia, and prominent members of the media such as Anwar Harb of Annahar Australia, Joe Khoury from Al Mustaqbal, and editors from Middle East Times and Telegraph.
The evening was hosted by the ever-charismatic Andrew Voss, whose presence helped keep the energy high and the celebrations flowing smoothly.
A major part of the night was the recognition of long-serving team members across the Metro Petroleum network. Among those honoured were Lola Dib Zaatini for 10 years of service, and both Mrs. Leila Younis and Gary Tong, who were each celebrated for an incredible 30 years of dedication to the company.
A special presentation was delivered by Elie John Dib, highlighting the Dib Group’s accomplishments in 2025 including key community initiatives, industry growth, and ongoing support for local charities and partners. The speech reinforced the core values the group stands for: people, unity, and shared success.
The Dib family once again showed their appreciation for every individual and business who plays a role in their story from loyal suppliers and franchisees to the hardworking internal teams. Their message was clear: the strength of the Dib Group lies not just in its achievements, but in the people who help make it all possible.
