A memorable way to celebrate the year’s accomplishments.

Dib Group’s 2024 Christmas Party was held at the La Castelle Venue in Bankstown last Friday. The evening was a celebration of a fantastic year in every department of the company. Founder John Dib and over 600 people attended, including dignitaries, family members, contractors, suppliers, retailers, and employees. It was a fantastic evening for everyone.

We also used the occasion to announce the 2024 final prizes.

First, George Dib is commemorating 40 years in the petroleum industry, which is a significant milestone. George’s contribution to the Dib Group and other groups is simply incredible. Congratulations, George. I hope you have many more years ahead of you.

Second, we used the occasion to donate to some incredible charities that we collaborate with to spread pleasure and happiness throughout this holiday season. Teams that won the most recent “Metro Petroleum Olympics” in Hawaii contributed the money. Teams made the decision to put others above themselves and to give rather than receive. The World Lebanese Cultural Union Sydney, Super Tee, and The Cancer Council were the institutions that received these awards. The teams collectively gave these organisations $20,000.

Thirdly, the 2024 Supplier Account Manager of the Year was revealed. Joel Smith of Patties Food Group received the award for his diligence and commitment to increasing sales and profitability at every Metro Petroleum site. Joel, you did a great job. I hope the next year brings even greater and better outcomes.

Fourth, we revealed the 2024 Employee of the Year, a highly coveted honour that can be given to any member of the Dib Group. Bhanu Sharm of the Metro Petroleum Marketing Team received the honour this year. Bhanu puts in a lot of effort to make sure all of our sites are up and running and that the chances of success are maximised. Congratulations, Bhanu! Your efforts have paid off!

Finally, we revealed the Metro Petroleum Store of the Year for 2024. This honour is given to our stores that follow corporate guidelines, comply with supplier requirements, and maintain a tidy and welcoming environment. Many congratulations are extended to the Metro Petroleum Cliftleigh, NSW team for winning the prise.

We are grateful to the whole Dib Group team for their cooperation in 2024, and we anticipate building on our achievements in 2025.
